I think I’ve touched upon this subject before, not to sure, however if I have or haven’t I’m going to revisit it.

Unless you’ve got a pretty damn good excuse for using it outside of a mobile phone texting session, please dont.

For example I visited the official website of one of my favourite dramas on the TV, I went to the comments section of the site and to my horror the first comment I chanced upon was filled with text speak. So I bid a hasty retreat.

Kids it isn’t cool to use it outside of a mobile phone. I just think you’re being lazy. There is a big book out there called “The Oxford English Dictionary”, may I suggest you acquaint yourself with the contents of said publication and try and post something that doesn’t resemble what an alien would say before being streamed through the universal translator.

As you know yesterday I was back in Birmingham at the Dental Hospital, finally got the plastic appliance fitted into my mouth. I was going to take a photo and publish it, but then I just couldn’t be bothered and wanted to spare you the details.

The first night with it in was interesting, when I woke up this morning, my mouth was quite dry, but after one day I can say it was a success, so this fingers crossed bodes well for my future treatment.

I return next Thursday for an update on the progress, hopefully I’ll get some idea of a treatment plan.

… when nothing is straightforward as it should be. A couple of things haven’t gone according the script I had written.

No black and white in my world, lots of shades of grey, all good fun, the ever changing face of my day :)

Yes it’s that time again, I return to the Birmingham Dental Hospital tomorrow.

Fingers crossed the appliance they’re fitting actually fits this time and I can get outline of the treatment they’re going to offer.

TwitScoop and Twitter search filters in Tweetdeck

I know I complain about certain aspects of Tweetdeck for example with tweets being unmarked.

I have never once complained about the API settings.

I think I may have already done a post about this.

Stop complaining that after 2 seconds tweetdeck uses up all the API calls.

Tweak the flipping settings!!!!

You don’t have to have tweets coming in every second, no human can keep up with that.

Spend 5 minutes familiarising yourself with the settings page.

If you aren’t already aware I have been unemployed since April and have been claiming Job Seekers Allowance since then.

So on friday my local job centre plus left me a message to call them to book an interview.

So I phoned this morning and it seems this 13 week review is going to be a little different than the last one, it’s going to be a group session.

This little session is going to take place next Tuesday, I’ll let you know how I get on.

If you really enjoy what you do, does it really matter how many hours you spend doing it?

When I see people complaining that they’re working such long hours, it makes me think “Are you really enjoying what you’re doing?”

If not do something about it, be brave and take a risk, get the enjoyment back into what you do.

That’s the question I was asking myself just moments ago, until I saw that WordPress 2.8.1 had been released. So it took about 30 seconds for me to bring my version kicking and screaming to the present.

When I can think of something else to write, it’ll appear here.

Watch this space, I’ll be checking back to make sure you’re still here ;)

As the title says, where have I been? I’ve been getting caught up in the Torchwood Children of Earth machine, spending most of my time posting over at http://gallifreybase.com trying to bring some calm to the chaos and chaos to the calm.

Coupled with getting to know the folks over at the winelibrary.tv forums.

So time just flies and unfortunately (smack the back of my hand) my blog took a back seat.

Despair no longer I am back in the saddle :)

Not much to say, the wife of the incoming MI6 chief outed her husband on facebook, by posting pictures of the themselves on facebook, as the rest of us would do.

Outed in this sense meaning cover well and truly blown. ;)

However seeing the position her husband is due to take up in november, you would have thought about security measures on the account a little more.

However the Mail and Sunday doing a stirling job of highlighting to the world about it, just to make things a little worse for the poor guy.

I doubt he’ll be taking up the post after this potentially deadly faux pas.
