Yes caffeine consumption after 10pm should be banned. I have caffeine to thank for this very early start to my day.

It’s going to be a long long one.

… after this post.

It’s a great site when it works 100%, a real pain in the arse when it doesn’t.

Twitter’s latest suggestion on http://status.twitter.com is all well and good, how many times do we have to clear our cookies in firefox before a fix is put in place? Strange how I could use twitter normally before the DOS attack and after the attack there are problems.

I haven’t changed the settings on my computer, the version of firefox I’m currently using was the same version before the DOS attack.

So instead of passing the buck, check your site, why is it dishing out faulty cookies that stop the site from function properly?

It has already been pointed out to you that the problem isn’t confined to firefox.

I was going to go walking today again and do some caching, first time in a long time. However I checked the old TV guide and the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) is on ITV4 from 11.30 am.

So I’ll possibly go walking/caching tomorrow.

I’ve asked this question on my twitter accounts, facebook and friend feed.

I’m coming up to my limit on the free flickr account and they’re asking me to upgrade to their pro version for a fee, whilst I don’t mind paying the fee, I cannot pay for it at the moment.

I need a free alternative that I can host more than 200 photos on.

I do use photobucket, however that is cluttered up with all of the other rubbish I’ve accumulated from the internet.

So any suggestions?

Over the past 2 days I’ve been on a couple of walks, and I’ve taken lots of photos.

The ones on my Friday walk are currently available here:

It was a really enjoyable walk. I do have some more from today’s walk that will appear soon.

This post is dedicated to a site called “Birmingham: It’s Not Shit”. I’m going to post it in my blogroll later.

I was born in Solihull just outside of Birmingham in 1974. Even though I never lived in Birmingham and left the area soon after i was born, I still class myself as a brummie and I’m proud of it.

No Birmingham is not shit, it’s got a rich history, iconic buildings like the Rotunda. As said on the site, it’s spawned the extremely funny Jasper Carrot.

I love the city centre, I’ve been back several times to the Dental Hospital and think to myself what a great place to be.

There is a diverse mix of cultures, a great atmosphere and friendly people.

So come on folks, give Birmingham a go, come and see for yourself what Birmingham has to offer.

Auction

I’ve been watching “Homes Under The Hammer” recently on BBC1 weekday mornings. I realise that some of the programmes are a couple of years old, before the property collapse came about.

Would you go to a property auction and have you bid on properties?

I would, not to bid, just to get a feel of how much properties were going for.

I have created a facebook page for this blog. So if you don’t want to leave facebook to come and read my blog, then you can read it on facebook.

At regular intervals facebook will import posts from this blog and display them in the notes tab on the page.

Here’s a link to the page:

Ok the sun is out, I’m nowhere near the sea and I’m still having twitter problems.

I have now discovered that I can update and follow on my @wizzardsblog account, just not my @R_Arblaster account. More and more posts are flooding into the twitter help site, I have given up telling some folks that it is to do with the DOS attack especially as it seems quite a few tweeters have been having problems before the attack.

So far all of the major browsers are affected for some people and not others. It’s all fine and dandy saying switch to another browser when:

a) You are unable to switch to another browser because of the platform you happen to be using.

b) You’ve already tried all of the other browsers and they’re still not playing ball.

If twitter do not like the floods of posts saying exactly the same things, then time to get your fingers out and do something about it.

Announcing routine maintenance on the help desk isn’t really the pertinent news that us affected ones need to hear, it just means we cannot complain for a couple of hours whilst maintenance is carried out.

If you don’t have enough coders to look at the problem with the different browsers then get some more eyes looking at the code, just in case someone has missed something.

I’m not a coder so I don’t know how many people you need to look at the problem, to me though it seems you do not have enough.

Oh and did I mention, the sun is out in the UK. ;)
