I’ve been absent from my blog for a couple of day because I’ve been busy doing a PC upgrade, tearing my hair out regarding my internet connection and getting my sites online.

It feels great to be busy, the time is just flying by. I’ll have something more meaningful to say tomorrow :)

I don’t think I ever told you, I love bats, no not the willow type bats or the metal bats that you use to play cricket or baseball. I mean the furry flying mammal variety.

They are awesome creatures that strike fear into lots of people, I just find them fascinating.

This post was prompted by a tweet by @psomom she took a photo of this beautiful little bat:

I thought he might be a Pipstrelle as per this web page:

http://www.first-nature.com/bats/pipistrellus_pipistrellus.htm

However he seems to be smaller than that or he could be a baby?

Any thoughts?

Sorry for the lack of content yesterday, it always happens when I have to leave the house to do things :)

Well what a funny old day yesterday, another 2 icons have shuffled from this mortal coil.

Patrick Swayze and Keith Floyd R.I.P.

Who will be classed as icons of the future? Say in 30 years time, who will stand out from the current crop of fresh faced celebs, who  will stand the test of time?

It’s quite a busy day today.

Off to the job centre to sign on and then this evening, my 2nd week at college.

What makes it an even better start to the day, the sun is shining.

Have you got to a time in your life where all the days seem to merge into one?

I have and it’s been quite a pleasant experience. I haven’t been bored in a long while, especially on the social media scene.

IEEE have taken their time officially ratifying this standard. How long did it take them to ratify the ‘g’ standard?

DVLA want to charge me £20 to renew the photo on my drivers licence. It’s daylight robbery. The worst thing is they have you over a barrel, without an updated photo the licence would be classed as expired, thus not being allowed to drive.

Coupled with the £4 charge in an automated photo booth to take photos as well. I know it renews my photo for 10 more years, it still doesn’t stop me from having a moan about the costs.

I’m going to have a decent sunday dinner for the first time in a round a month. I’m off to my mum’s. I’m baised so I’m going to say she’s a wonderful cook.

Completely self taught, which I think is a great way, as you tend to do things your own way and most times they can turn out better than the tried and tested methods.

So you won’t be seeing anything from me until after 6pm this evening.

Have a great day.

I have chosen my laptop, that is if it’s still available when I have the funds:

This is a standard amazon.co.uk link, not an affiliate link.

I have heard a lot of people saying “I don’t like change, so I’m going to carry on doing things the way I’ve always done.”

Those who say that are in extreme danger of getting left behind. The forward thinkers, those who embrace change, you won’t be able to see them for a cloud of dust they’re off in the distance, they’re moving forward with their lives, many opportunities have arisen, because just once they said “Yes”.

I admit in the past I have said No to a good many things, I feel that’s what’s held me back over the years, too many times I have taken the easy option and said No. I have started to say yes to a few more things and that opened my eyes and I see more and more opportunities to do things. Especially with the social media scene. I have embraced it.

I’ve just started putting adverts on my blog to try and make some money. I have balked at the idea because I was worried about what people might think. Now I’m concentrating on the content to convert those clicks.

My adsense experiment started last week, I haven’t earned any money yet because I don’t think I’ve chosen the ideal size and type of advert, again fear of what people may think. So I’ll be experimenting with a few more ad formats later on today.

Don’t fear change, embrace it!!
