The countdown has begun. Wizzard’s Blog TV will be hitting the intertubes in December 2009.

It will take Wizzard’s Blog to the next level. What does this mean for this blog? Nothing at all, I will still be posting  here. There is so much I want to relay to the folks out there, that written text on the screen alone cannot do.

I will be doing reviews, I’ll be reflecting on the day just gone, or the day ahead, or I’ll just be chilling out and shooting the breeze.

I will also have a presence on ustream.tv which you all know I already have an account on.

The site will soon be up with a little notice. With my contact details on, feel free to contact me for further details.

Yes the penultimate race of the season is now upon us. What a farce yesterday’s qualifying was. I popped out to Tescos only to discover upon my return Q2 had been restarted and had been completed. I think as with most world champions before him, Jensen Button has us biting our nails in anticipation.

However qualifying in 14th with your major rival, your team mate Rubens Barrichello popping into pole position. He could now potentially wipe out three quarters of your lead, if you were to finish where you are.

Let’s not have a Lewis Hamilton cliffhanger, lets go and do the business. 9 years in the wings, time to step up to the plate and hold your nerve.

I was told many years ago that having computers would create a paperless office.  Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact we seem to have even more paper lying around the place than we did before the advent of the desktop computer. We humans are still distrusting of that grey box sitting at the corner of our desks, printing off every email and important document, just incase the hard drive sneezes and looses every single document you’ve been working on since the year dot.

I always laugh now when a young kid mentions the words “paperless office”. Paper in one form or another will be around for many years to come. Even when the trees are long gone, the boffins will come up with synthetic paper like they did with synthetic fibres many moons ago.

Why is Friday flying by so quickly? Here in good old blighty it’s 2.36 in the afternoon.

I must admit that I didn’t go to bed until at least 4am, was taking part in an early morning/late evening (depending where you are in the world) ustream session with the legendary Gary Vaynerchuk. I don’t think he ever sleeps.

Nor do I lately :-)

Yes the penguin on my computer has died and has been replaced once more with Windows.  Had to buy another copy.

The penguin will not be missed. I’m not a hard core coder, so I didn’t really relish having to bludgeon my way through code to get the slightest think to work. However Mac OS does look promising, when I become a multi-millionare I may start drinking some apple kool-aid.

Until then “Hello Microsoft, my old friend :)

What do you prefer, public transport or driving?

Just lately I prefer to catch the train, don’t get me wrong I love driving. It’s just that I find sitting on a train with my eyes closed very relaxing, it puts you in the right frame of mind for the day ahead.

I would never dream of driving into the middle of Birmingham. Then you have to find a place to park, find enough change to put in the parking meter. In the end it can work out cheaper.

When I find gainful employment, I will definitely be driving. Less time to walk from the station to your destination.

I seem to love going to Birmingham and the surrounding towns.

I have an appointment with a recruitment agency based in Sutton Coldfield. I have applied for a Data Entry position, because there are so many applicants for this position, by the time I come to register the position may have been filled.

However they are optomistic they can find me other work. I told the agency on the phone that I’d be willing to work within a 30 mile radius of Stafford, so that will take in all of the major towns/cities in the area.

Wish me luck :)

Yes I’m back off to Birmingham this afternoon back to the Dental Hospital, this time I have to take my mouth guard with me, as they’ll be attempting to create dentures based on it.

I have my doubts as the guard has become rather loose in the 2 months I have been wearing it.

My wireless card problem, yet again reared its ugly head. It wouldn’t connect to WPA enabled routers. So I had to mess around re-installing Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron). Which is down a full version from what I was running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope).

I think they should call the next version “Dead Parrot” as a reference to Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

I’m counting down the days to a Windows 7 laptop and a computer rebuild around it.

Please don’t fill the waste bin to the lid, because you are too lazy to change the bag, when it comes to bag changing time, the bag rips because it is too full, so the bags I have bought, I have to use an extra one to contain the ripped bag.

Modern food cans can be re-cycled so please do not put them in the waste bin, so the above doesn’t happen.

When the washing up liquid dispensing brush is empty please refill it with washing up liquid, it only takes 2 seconds.

Do not spend all day in the kitchen tidying up when others want to use the kitchen, some of us are capable of cleaning up after ourselves.

If you want to fry allsorts of crap in the fryer and the oil eventually resembles what has come out of a car, put your hand in your pockets and take your turn to buy some new oil.

When you have finished using the toilet, put the seat and the lid down, again it only takes 2 seconds.

When you have finished in the bathroom, please leave the door open, so then I know that there is no one in there, saves on guess work.

Please turn the landing light off when you have finished, the light streaming through the cracks in my door doesn’t help me to sleep.

Do not have telephone arguments at 1 am. Have them at the time normal people have them.

Please don’t hog the internet bandwidth especially when I’m trying to work, granted I shouldn’t really be using a residential connection to do my work, but then again, what choice do I have.

If you are going to invite your friends round, please give advanced warning and at least introduce them to me, so I can give them a friendly hello the next time they come to visit.
