Just checked back through the blog archive for this month and I’ve already posted 5 days in a row without even thinking about it. Looks like I’m on a roll. It would seem I do have stuff to say on a daily basis more than once by the looks of it.

Just been reading through my digitalspy daily email and came across this article. Looks interesting that the game engine is going to be re-built from the ground up. My only worry is will this prove to be a memory leak out of the box like Civilisation IV was? Or this new game engine going to be more efficient?

I hope you all haven’t waited in all day for a video blog, sorry about that. Got sidetracked into other stuff. Currently working on my online store. Fingers crossed that’ll launch in the second half of the year.

It would appear that everyone is still jumping on Kevin Smith’s back re the Southwest Airlines incident. Some I think just don’t like him and are using it as an excuse to bash him.  Shame really he comes across as a really cool guy.

Yes I’m heading off into the big bad world, well down to my local supermarket anyway.  Keep an eye out on my videoblogging site, I maybe posting a video later.

Just had a heads up on twitter via @tjk1964 that my tweet to the @workinglunch twitter account regarding credit cards was actually read out on the show, so I fired up BBC iplayer and lo and behold about half way in there it is up on the screen. I thought I’d get my name in lights someday albeit for a couple of seconds.

Just had an email back about the job I’m waiting to start, I should have an update by the end of the week. Fingers crossed I’ll finally be working again soon.

Also had a phonecall from Birmingham Dental Hospital cancelling tomorrow’s appointment. That’s a bit of painas I was booked in to see the main man at the same time to sort out my denture problems, that’ll probably be put back until March, ho hum never mind, what does another month matter?

On a little footnote, 2 biggish blog posts in a row on the same day, things are looking up ;-)

After seeing the Kevin Smith vs Southwest Airlines incident. Now the Huffington Post has an article up about a pregnant woman being booted off a grounded flight because her husband was asking for water because it was very hot.

Why couldn’t she have any water? Because it was against policy because the plane wasn’t in the air.

Come on people stop hiding behind policy and use common sense for a change. Policies have their place but not when it places your customer’s health at risk.

Grow a backbone and show some initiative and common sense.

Apologies for the silence from this blog in a little while. I have done a few quick bursts on the video blog and neglected this word only blog.

So how have you all been doing?

I’m back off to Birmingham on Wednesday to resolve the issues with my denture that makes me gag everytime I wear it.

Apologies to Birmingham Dental Hospital, I haven’t attempted to try the denture again as I’m afraid the outcome would be the same, coupled with the fact that since the last appointment I’ve been feeling really crappy with a cold and a chesty cough that doesn’t want to relinquish its hold on my body. It just feels like I’ve been smoking 50 a day and I’m a non-smoker.

Some interesting things have been happening over the past week. What with the Paperchase-gate and Kevin Smith being asked to leave a southwest airlines flight. It’s amazing that twitter has so much power, that’s why I love the platform. It gives you a chance to get a whole load off your chest (pun not intended).

Google Buzz was also launched last week, which I’m loving loads. The same hoohah has been brewing with how Google were sharing your profile with others, which seems to have been fixed. Again partially down to the power of twitter.

Facebook have changed the look of the frontpage, lots of people not liking the change (no surprise there). I like the new logical layout of the frontpage.

I’m still waiting to hear about a temp job that’s going to last a minimum of 2 to 4 weeks, fingers crossed off benefits for the first time in nearly 12 months.

I have also started to dabble in MySpace again, created a new account and plonked in a whole load of links of where you can find me on the ‘net.

My Wizzard’s Blog TV video blogging site has now moved over to posterous, the domain now re-directs to my new posterous blog, that’s another hosting bill eradicated, the wallet is starting to look a lot healthier, the moths are slowly being banished.

I’ll post back later when some more stuff has happened.

The inaugural episode has now hit youtube and viddler, will be adding it to my other accounts later through my tubemogul account if I can find the details.

Mentioned in the video:

Stephen Leighton owner of HasBean coffee roastery is on London Radio 97.3 FM, Sky Channel 0124 or live on their website www.lbc.co.uk between 4pm and 5pm (GMT) where is is taking part in a live phone-in discussing coffee. He’s a brilliant bloke so please check it out.

The current book I’m reading is called “Doctor Who: The Writer’s Tale The untold story of the BBC series” written by Russell T Davies and Benjamin Cook.

I’m about half way trough the book, it’s an excellent read. I highly recommend you pick up a copy.
