I have set up a new posterous blog, chronicling my daily job hunt. I hope you find it interesting you can find it at:
The Diary of a Professional Jobseeker
I’m edging closer to that deep dark place again, my mind is ready to explode. I just want peace and quiet a place where I can get away for a couple of hours so I can gather my thoughts. Any slight bit of noise out of the ordinary just annoys me more than ever lately.
You get to that stage where you don’t want to socialise too much. You start to feel sorry for yourself and be grumpy and irritating to others.
Above all I need a job to occupy my daytime thoughts.
I’ve been writing some stories for work-online.org.uk. I know the money is ridiculously low, but hey not worried about that.
The worrying thing is I’ve contacted them twice now with regards to the last story I submitted that hasn’t been looked at yet. They are normally quite quick to respond.
Anyone else used them and suddenly seeing there is no new work or they’re not responding to emails?
The new craze has now hit our TV screens. A company called 5R1 Limited setup in 2007 has now started advertising on television asking you to call them if you’ve been a victim of medical negligence.
So if you can’t sue the people you believe caused your accident whether it be in the workplace, out walking, or out driving, you can now have a pop at your doctor if your care isn’t up to scratch.
I’m bracing myself for what will pop up next.
Have you noticed we seem to spend a vast proportion of our life waiting?
Whether it be waiting for a phone call, waiting for public transport, waiting in a queue to be served, waiting in a waiting room to be seen.
We always seem to be waiting for something or someone.
If you’ve been following my twitter stream and facebook page you will know that I went to Birmingham on the train yesterday.
I walked into the waiting room and there were 3 trainspotters in there taking down locomotive numbers. This post isn’t setting out to ridicule what they do, just curious as to what the fascination is sitting all day in a station writing down these numbers.
I was trawling through the internet a few weeks ago and saw a whole lot of old posts (circa 2005) from people saying that their Packard Bell Diamond 1200+ scanner no longer works in Windows XP and some were forced to bin them.
Weep no more thanks to a post on this website:

From the mustek link posted you select the drivers for Mustek Bearpaw 1200 CU plus. Select the Logo driver at the top of the page, download and install and hey presto your scanner should be fully functioning again.
