The final weekend of the 6 nations finished on a high.

France were back to their old selves when they demolished the Italians, I don’t think they broke a sweat.

Some glimpses of brilliance from England, however there were moments when I was thinking “here we go again.”

The Ireland – Wales game was fantastic, why can’t they ever be decided before the final minute? It was inevitable that a drop goal would come in the final 10 minutes with there only being 2 points in it. When the Irish conceded a penalty in the dying seconds, my heart was in my mouth, I thought Ireland had blown it.

I really feel sorry for Steven Jones missing that penalty by inches.

Congratulations Ireland, you nearly gave your supporters a heart attack at the end.

  1. agreed on the heart attack – including the president of Ireland, Mary McAleese, who was seated next to Prince Edward (I think) and who was in tears at the end I think. Pardon all the tentative thinking but the match was a heart-attack a minute stuff for me – hard to keep an eye on everything

  2. It was Prince William he's the patron of Welsh Rugby :)

A bit of needle in the match, didn't expect the fisticuffs to start in the 1st minute, Wayne Barnes did a great job of keeping control.
