Italy v Ireland

9-38

What a snore fest compared to the France-Ireland game last week. Great tries from Ireland especially after 5 mins of sustained pressure in the 1st Half.

The 2nd half, shall we forget about it? Apart from the last 8 or so minutes someone seems to have shoved rockets up the collective backsides of the Irish side and lit them, Ireland have remembered that there is still some time left on the clock.

Another try in the final 5 minutes, did bring a little spark. Brian O’ Driscoll can be counted upon the ignite the fire again. I really started to zone out in the 2nd half.

A much better display from Italy, now that there was a proper scrum half in place. Pity that started to fizzle out in the 2nd half

Wales v England

23-15

A better performance from England, some ill discipline throughout the match meant lots of penalties including a couple of sin-binnings which could have easily been avoided again, like they could have been last week.

Wales were a little cagey in the 1st half, but they held their nerve to dominate the 2nd Half.

Wales are still looking good value to win the Grand Slam again.

France v Scotland

22-13

A lot better showng from Scotland this week, lots of mistakes from both sides. Scotland’s errors coming at crucial times during the play.

For the first 15 minutes France didn’t seem very assured, early pressure from Scotland.

The game ended very scrappily.

It’s one of these silly things that pop into my head when I’m out walking, I tend to have my silliest thoughts when walking.

Who decided to call sausages served in a long white bun a “hot dog”?

Thoughts and comments below please, they don’t have to be factual, although it would help to have one or two facts :)

This is a new section in my blog when I think about an everyday object or situation and think to myself how did was this situation created or how was the name for an everyday object devised.

These posts will always start with “What the fudge”.

I’ll be asking for people to come up with answers in the comments, I hope that this will produce some interesting takes. I look forward to reading them and replying :)

This is a shout out to folks in the Staffordshire area in England, United Kingdom.

I need a place to live, my criteria is as follows:

A single room in a house share

Maximum £70 per week, preferably, utility bills and council tax included

The most important criteria of all:

A place to park my car.

Please post in the comments if you are able to help.

Here are my predictions for next week:

France v Scotland – France to win by 20 points

Wales v England – Wales to win by 5 points

Italy v Ireland – Ireland to win by 30 points

A bit of a vague title, the title I was going to use would be a little too long to fit.

Have you ever taken up your boss’ invitation to tell him/her what you really thought of him/her?

Only to discover that you have your P45/pink slip waiting for you in a matter of days.

Please tell me in the comments, you don’t have to mention the name of your boss or the name of the company you worked for, unless you want to.

Scotland v Wales

13-26

Scrappy to begin with, a very soft yellow card, why don’t the players learn that you cannot take a player out in the air.

Wales finally found their feet and dominated the majority of the game. Another soft yellow card a deliberate knock on.

In the last 15 mins Wales started to lose their composure a little. Where were Scotland for the first three quarters of the match?

I started to zone out a little 56 mins in. Not as enthralling as the Ireland v France game.

Wales are looking good for the grand slam as well.

The annual 6 Nations Rugby Tournament featuring England, France, Ireland, Italy, Wales and Scotland kicked off yesterday to determine who is the best Northern Hemisphere side.

England v Italy

36-11

Even though England beat Italy, if they play like they did against the other sides, England could end up near the bottom. Italy’s undoing was using Bergamasco as scrum half. If Nick Mallet hadn’t waited until half time to change things England would have been beaten. This was a complete and utter snore fest.

Ireland v France

30-21

This was more like it, a really close and exciting game, however the England game made me zone out and I was doing other things at the time, so I didn’t really 100% appreciate how brilliant this game was.

The moments I did catch were brilliant.

Ireland for the grandslam? Maybe.

Coming up later today is Scotland v Wales at Murrayfield. I predict a Wales win by 15 points.

Give your thoughts and predictions in the comments below.
