Spring has finally arrived and for a change it’s warm and sunny. I haven’t seen any daffodils out though, plenty of other colourful flowers are now sprouting up, can’t wait for them to be in full bloom.
Don’t know whether I’ll take my camera out with me as I seem to be photographing the same places year in year out, even though the flowers are changing from year to year nothing else around them seems to change. Apart from the new childrens playground that has been built on the edge of the park.
Today I reached what I believe to be the twilight of my 30s. Reached 37 today.
It doesn’t seem that long ago I turned 18. I wish I could say that I could remember everything from my 18th birthday to now. I remember hardly anything.
It could be partly down to the road accident in ’93, it could also be a factor of other things.
There have been great times, there have been bad times. From now on I vow to have nothing but great times.
I’ve been thinking about this challenge I’ve set myself. I’m thinking just bunging all of the words into some long document and posting it up for everyone to see is going to put people off reading it. So I’m going to do what comes naturally to me. I’m just going to blog.
At some point or another towards the end of the year I will reach a million words. I’ve been finding it difficult to just sit down and write, this way it’s far easier to do. So starting from this entry onwards these will count towards my million word challenge.
The great thing about wordpress is that there is a handly little word count in the left hand corner of the edit screen. So it shouldn’t be too difficult to track the amount of words, so from now on until the millionth word has been reached these entries will be tagged with “million word challenge”.
I’m more relaxed today than I was yesterday. The window in my room is wide open, the sound of birds in the background.

The sunny weather and the chirping birds really make me wish I had a laptop so I could be outside relaxing even more.

Yes I paid my hosting for the month and wizzardsblog has been saved from being offline for a couple of days.
I have now made a decision to stop duplicating content online, so this means I’ll stop posting on posterous to feed to this blog, so instead I’ll be posting directly here and I’ll tweet out manually via the button on the post.
Coupled with the fact that posterous lately has been suffering technical gremlins and I feel that my self hosted blog is a lot more stable. It will also mean that I’ll no longer have lots of uncategorised posts on this blog.
I’ll be redirecting my richard-arblaster.com domain to this blog, now got to figure out how to undo the changes I made to the domain name for it redirect to posterous.
The posts will probably be tweeted out via my @R_Arblaster twitter account instead of the @wizzardsblog account.
I encourage you to follow both, I appreciate that most of my @wizzardsblog posts will be sponsored ones, I make no apologies for that, I’m having to find ways of making money, no matter how large or little that amount may be.

As you probably already know, a couple of weeks ago I purchased a dongle so I could go mobile if the house connection wasn’t working.
Well this morning it stopped working again, so I’m back on the dongle.
What I want to know those of you have a lot more experience using dongles. How does it affect your browsing habits? Does it really curtail what you can do whilst connected.
I really have to watch my bandwidth as I’m on pay as you go. So I cannot watch any video, or listen to any audio.
So the bottom line is, how do you utilise your time whilst on a dongle?
Just a little heads up my wordpress blog may be going offline for a couple of days, due to finances, should be back up by Friday if that happens.
This is calling out all of the negative youtube commenters, no not the ones that make constructive criticisms. It’s those ones who feel they have to put a dampener on funny videos with snarky comments. For example this video:
I don’t know whether I’m getting the context wrong but one commenter says “bad parenting…”.
Why is a dad belly flopping on an air bed and making his daughter fly up in to the air for a laugh warrant that comment?
Another comment about the title of the thread, claiming the father want’s fame. He just thought it was funny enough to put it on youtube, and most of us find it funny, well I did.
I won’t name the commenters, they’re not getting any “fame” for their “bad boy” comments from me, you can see all of the comments below the video.
I’m sorry you really all need to go and find something meaningful in your lives than trawling youtube for videos to trash with off topic comments to make yourselves feel great.
Karma can be a bitch and it’s coming to get you.
This afternoon I popped along to the Birmingham Writer’s Club. This was the first time I’ve attended this kind of event.
Very interesting people in attendance, great advice from everyone, nice to see a mix of people. I’m really looking forward to the next meeting.
