Had my temporary denture fitted today, had it for about 6 hours, still not convinced about it, seems a little lose. I’ll give it a full day’s wear before phoning up the Dental Hospital for an earlier appointment.
Another appointment in Brum this afternoon, normally I look forward to it, but seeing as what time of year it is and the current cold weather, it’s going to be heaving.
Fingers crossed this could be my penultimate hospital appointment before I have some shiny new teeth.
However it won’t be the last time I’ll be visiting Brum.
Hope to eventually catch up with some fellow twitterers and bloggers sometime in the future.
Yes, I am going to my dental appointment that was cancelled last month tomorrow. I’m contemplating going on the big wheel in centenary square, depending on my finances, failing that I’ll go in a couple of weeks time. Even though I’m wary of heights, I think it’s going to be a great view from the wheel.
I seem to love going to Birmingham and the surrounding towns.
I have an appointment with a recruitment agency based in Sutton Coldfield. I have applied for a Data Entry position, because there are so many applicants for this position, by the time I come to register the position may have been filled.
However they are optomistic they can find me other work. I told the agency on the phone that I’d be willing to work within a 30 mile radius of Stafford, so that will take in all of the major towns/cities in the area.
Wish me luck
Yes I’m back off to Birmingham this afternoon back to the Dental Hospital, this time I have to take my mouth guard with me, as they’ll be attempting to create dentures based on it.
I have my doubts as the guard has become rather loose in the 2 months I have been wearing it.
This post is dedicated to a site called “Birmingham: It’s Not Shit”. I’m going to post it in my blogroll later.
I was born in Solihull just outside of Birmingham in 1974. Even though I never lived in Birmingham and left the area soon after i was born, I still class myself as a brummie and I’m proud of it.
No Birmingham is not shit, it’s got a rich history, iconic buildings like the Rotunda. As said on the site, it’s spawned the extremely funny Jasper Carrot.
I love the city centre, I’ve been back several times to the Dental Hospital and think to myself what a great place to be.
There is a diverse mix of cultures, a great atmosphere and friendly people.
So come on folks, give Birmingham a go, come and see for yourself what Birmingham has to offer.
It was a great day, the gathering wasn’t as large as I was expecting, which in way made it far better, just having a group of 4 people meant that conversation flowed quite easily, you didn’t have to worry about accidentally ignoring some one in such a large group.
I still like the bigger events though, that way of you’re feeling a little jaded, you can hide in the shadows
This time it’s nothing to do with my teeth, this is a social visit. Meeting up with some people for a few beers, knowing me just the fumes will get me drunk.
I hope the weather is going to be good.
I hope you all have a fun day.
Yes tomorrow I descend upon Birmingham once more in the quest to get my mouth fixed. This should be the make or break appointment.
It’s an early morning appointment for a change. Weather permitting I shall spend a little more time chilling out after the appointment.
As you know yesterday I was back in Birmingham at the Dental Hospital, finally got the plastic appliance fitted into my mouth. I was going to take a photo and publish it, but then I just couldn’t be bothered and wanted to spare you the details.
The first night with it in was interesting, when I woke up this morning, my mouth was quite dry, but after one day I can say it was a success, so this fingers crossed bodes well for my future treatment.
I return next Thursday for an update on the progress, hopefully I’ll get some idea of a treatment plan.
