Leadership comes as instinctively as scratching the itch on your nose. If leading doesn’t come naturally to you then forget it, people will see right through you, they can see you mentally thumbing through the pages of the books on your shelf on how to deal with certain scenarios.
Make it up as you go along, sure you’ll make mistakes along the way, a lot less than following a book word for word from cover to cover.
People can forgive you for the mistakes you make as long as it appears that you are leading naturally and learn from those mistakes.
