Reblog from my tumblr blog, this title has more impact:

Thank you BBC for screwing the fans, not all of us have sky or the means to watch sky through other platforms.

It would have been far better to do a joint  deal with Channel 4 or Channel 5 to save money.

Sorry to say if this deal stands this year will be the last year I’m watching Formula 1.

Sorry I can’t fit this into 140 characters on twitter, I’m not friends with everyone on the planet on facebook and not everyone is on google+.

So I’m going to post this here.

Too many tweets going round reporting what the papers are saying. BBC may break the contract early, channel 4 are expressing an interest, channel 5 are expressing an interest.

Shall we wait for an official announcement from the BBC?

As for getting Jake Humphrey on board to keep F1 on the BBC, I’m sure deep down he would love to join the twitter campaign. However he is a professional presenter/broadcaster/writer  contracted to the BBC, so he isn’t going to say anything in public  that might damage his career.

I’m sure he’ll voice his concern to the bosses at the BBC that oversee the F1 production behind closed doors.

So lets stop with the headless chicken routine and enjoy F1 through to 2013.

Can you believe it already the new F1 season is just around the corner, 1st practice in Bahrain just 4 days away.

I’m really looking forward to the new season especially with the return of Michael Schumacher and new teams on the grid.

Yes the penultimate race of the season is now upon us. What a farce yesterday’s qualifying was. I popped out to Tescos only to discover upon my return Q2 had been restarted and had been completed. I think as with most world champions before him, Jensen Button has us biting our nails in anticipation.

However qualifying in 14th with your major rival, your team mate Rubens Barrichello popping into pole position. He could now potentially wipe out three quarters of your lead, if you were to finish where you are.

Let’s not have a Lewis Hamilton cliffhanger, lets go and do the business. 9 years in the wings, time to step up to the plate and hold your nerve.

I was pleased to hear that Johnny Herbert ex F1 driver and mid engine racer has joined Team Dynamics. His first race will be at Silverstone in 2 weeks time and will take part in all of the remaining rounds until the end of the season.

He’ll be replacing James Thompson who has racing committments elsewhere.

Johnny is going to have to get used to the bumping and rubbing that goes on. He should be fine.
