Okay I’ve decided to revert back to the standard theme for the time being. Going to see if it was an exploit in the theme I was using before.

Yes I will be posting here more often, but this is where I’ll put most of my crazy shit. So stay tuned for more fun and frivolity :)

Hi there to the muppet who tried to trash my blog. Don’t try it again. You might get a kick out of it. But I don’t appreciate you trying to trash nearly 4 years of posts.

Go and do something worthwhile with your life.

2013 a turning point

2013 will be a turning point for me, for a very big reason.

2013 will be six years since I decided to make myself bankrupt. This will mean all traces of my bankruptcy will disappear from my credit record. Of course it will stick with me for the rest of my life because if someone in an official capacity asks me if I’ve ever been made bankrupt then I will have to tell them.

What this means for me next year, I can go full tilt in rebuilding my credit history, it’s going to be slow progress, but it’ll be worth it in the end. It’ll be like my life has restarted, the slate has been wiped clean.

This restart at life will also mean me re-evaluating a lot of things in my life. Where I want to be, what I want to be doing and who I want to be around.

The Demise of Posterous

If you haven’t already heard, Twitter have acquired Posterous.

They say on the main page that posterous spaces won’t be affected at the moment. You can guarantee one thing that won’t remain the case for long. So lots of blog owners who’s blogs are based on the posterous platform are looking for new homes or switching to platforms they’ve already set up in the past.

I have several blogs on the posterous platform, so I’m waiting for them to release the tools so I can back up all of my blog posts. I’m lucky in a way that most of my content is syndicated to my other blogs on different platforms. So the migration won’t be such a pain for me.

I feel sorry for those that have built their businesses around the posterous platform, it’s going to take them quite a while to get everything migrated and back up and running the way they had it before.

So how does the acquisition affect you? Let me know in the comments below.

Stop telling me via twitter to call your bloody status line, note down that there are problems and get them passed to an engineer and bloody fixed. I’ve even given you my partial postcosde!!!

The account isn’t in my name because I live in a frigging shared house. Due to the Data Protection laws I can’t deal with you guys directly.

In the past 2 weeks we’ve managed two frigging days without dropouts. Piss poor if you ask me especially being on a 100 meg connection.

Oh whoop de frigging do you’re increasing speeds at the top end to 120 meg, get the frigging infrasructure sorted out first.

The next frigging correspondence will be to your managing director and I’ll be lighting a rocket up his arse.

Yes Virgin Media is currently winning the match against Productivity. 105 and 118 errors combining to send a belter into the back of the net.

Just when you think Productivity is back in the game a nice bit of foot work by “slow loading” in defence denies the fans of an equalizer.

The fans have had enough already, they’re leaving the ground.

No surprise there, will the fans return next week for the away fixture? The pundits pull a face and give it the thumbs down.

They’d rather go and watch paint dry.

It’s February!!!!

Can you believe it? We’re into February already. Just writing this quick blog post before I head off into town to see a housing benefit assessor about my claim.

I took a decision last night to take my life into my own hands and decided after a couple of days watching videos and presentations from a guy called Stuart Ross who is the co-founder of Six Figure Mentors, I decided to sign up and so far I’m only into the “orientation” videos and already I’m blown away by the quality of the videos.

This guy really knows what he’s talking about. I’m one of the biggest sceptics out there when it comes to this kind of stuff, can I really make thousands of dollars a month?

So instead of dismissing off hand as I usually do, I decided this is the year and took the plunge. This is going to take a lot of hard work and some money, but finally I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and it isn’t a train coming the other way.

Virgin Media sucks

Yes another rant on Virgin Media.

You know why Virgin Media sucks?

1. On a 100mb connection, a 30 second video buffers

2. Download speeds at less than 1mb.

3. We live in a so called “dirty” area with inteference, virgin were never aware in about the 5 years the connection has been here, but how can radio masts etc, interfere with fibre optic cable?

4. Constant DNS errors because the routers go down.

Yes you’re still the same old NTL under a shiny new badge.

Feeling better

I’m feeling a little better than yesterday, I just need a lot of distractions at the moment to take my mind off what has been happening around me.

I’m off to my dad’s tonight to pick up a bookcase and I’ll be staying for dinner.

The job search is still continuing, it is annoying when you click on a job description go to apply for it for a message to come up saying the job has expired, this is one of the downsides of having so many  job sites, all the recruiter has to do is submit one job hit a button and bam it’s aggregated to dozens of jobsites. They don’t actually keep tabs of when jobs are going to expire and wonder why they don’t have enough applications for a particular job.

Being as agencies aren’t so busy at the monent you would think they would take the time to contact the people on their books to see if they are still looking for work. I used to get that a lot, but recently you don’t hear anything, unless you contact them first.
