There you go the  title sums up the week I’ve had completely.

Phoned dentist on wednesday for an appointment for severe tooth pain. Appointment made for 9.20 am the following morning.

The tooth cannot be removed at the moment incase it affects the 16+ year old plate in my jaw after my RTA, fair enough. So X rays were taken, just waiting for the results to come back to see what’s going to happen next.

Course of anti-biotics comes to an end today, but I can still feel that the tooth is far from being 100% okay. However the pain has subsided thanks to a cocktail of co-codamol and ibuprofen.

So far this week I’ve looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp, walked like an old man and had  the balance of a toddler taking their 1st steps.  Oh yes and feel like I’ve been in a mobile sauna.

So how has your week been? :)

Swimming goggles

This article on digitalspy made me shake my head.

Yes we do need health and safety to prevent accidents, what about kids that have sight defects? That need the goggles so they can see properly. I speak from experience, I’ve suffered from short sightedness since the age of 10 and when I used to go to the swimming pool, I couldn’t see a thing because I didn’t have goggles. Nothing mentioned about potential eye strain.

There are pescription goggles out there for kids, but under this new ruling they’d be banned from using them unless their eyes become irritated by the chemicals in the water.

So parents smother your kids in cotton wool so they don’t feel the affects of the big bad world and then wonder why they end up in hospital with a huge infection because their bodies haven’t been allowed to build up an immunity.

Fly me to the moon somebody!!!

I went to the doctor yesterday because my ankle was swollen due to an insect bite, he gave me a prescription for some anti-biotics.

Just looked at my ankle and I’ve been bitten again in roughly the same area.

Something has a real taste for my ankle right now.

In my post earlier today I said that I was off to Birmingham Dental Hospital to have a plastic appliance fitted. I was correct in thinking it would look like gum shield.

Unfortunately despite having accurate impressions of my teeth the appliance wouldn’t fit properly, so another impression was taken and I will return on 16th July to have it fitted.

The dentist was also worried that one of my teeth near where the plate in my jaw is was infected, so I had to have the plate x-rayed, couldn’t see any infection, but going to make sure for when I return.

It was too hot to do much else, so it was a quick trip to Burger King and a look in HMV and Borders before jumping on the train home.

As you are probably aware today I had another appointment at Birmingham Dental Hospital. I’ve got to go back next Thursday, 2nd July to have a plastic appliance fitted to widen my bite, to see if I can tolerate having it widened to have false teeth fitted.

Things are slowly moving on.

Yes finally we have some more sunshine, hopefully it’ll last for the whole day, whilst I’m over in Birmingham again.

Got another appointment at the dental hospital.

I have also set up a new brightkite account actually setup in my real name, I will be posting regular updates to where I am each day.

If you feel inclined you can check the page out here:

Got to do a little tweaking on it, adding my photo etc.
