My take on the world

Thinking of others

In business we all know it can be cutthroat always looking at the bottom line. However how many owners/directors actually think about their employees?

Companies changing offices/policies, are the owners/directors doing it for the benefit of their employees or they doing it because it’s more convenient for them?

If you are the owner/director of a company, don’t take your eye off the ball, always look at the bigger picture. Never just do something because it’s convenient for you. If you start doing that you’ll have a lot of disgruntled employees.

Employees make a company remember that, if you suddenly lost all of your employees whould you be able to cope with the workload left behind?

Don’t move your office 100 miles down the motorway just because you’ve found a cheaper place to rent, what about your employees? Not all of them will relish the 200 mile round trip to work each day, or the possibility of having to relocate. Especially if there are young children involved, uprooting them having to find new schools, making new friends etc..

We’re not numbers on a spreadsheet, we are human beings and need to be treated as such.

If you want to cut your wages bill, take a salary cut yourself, put yourself in your employees shoes.

The day those in charge start giving a crap about the little man, world peace will be here, the pope will be getting married, and paris hilton will join a convent.

Business men, are only interested in the business, and as long as they are still in a job earning good money, couldnt care less about the little man, and how his life can be ruined by a single decision they might make.
When they look in the mirror, they dont see the man/woman that ruined a marriage, or split a family due to a lack of money, they dont see a family lose their house, or have to suffer the indignity of the bailiffs knocking on the door…. they just see themselves, successful, financially secure and happy….and as long as they continue to see that in their reflection, they will never give a crap about the little man and his trials and tribulations.
